“A Tedious Thing” — Fort Worth Magazine
Illustration and Graphic Identity for feature story
About
Known as “the definitive resource for where to eat, what to do and what's happening in Fort Worth”, Fort Worth Magazine has been a trusted source in its city for the last 25 years. For their June Issue of 2024, they asked me to produce illustrations and a graphic identity for a feature piece they did on the 1940s book, “The Inheritors”.
Seeing an opportunity to indulge my love for vintage design, literature, and illustration in the same project, I went straight to work. I studied old chapter book illustrations, ads, and photos from the 1930s-40s to help me create something that helps readers step back in time.
